PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
1995 - Present: Freelance Artist/Illustrator.
I have long worked as a fine artist, exhibiting and selling pieces individually or through galleries. (See the Fine Art Page for samples.) In 1995 I also began to promote myself commercially, creating graphic illustrations, as well as commissioned portraits, for both private and professional clients. (See the Portrait Page, as well as the Illustration Page for samples.)
Past Clients: The Langsford Center. Created graphic illustrations for the brochure of this remedial reading clinic. Also designed client birthday cards.
Wild Basil. Created mural for restaurant/caterer.
The Baseball Museum. Collaberated on a large scale, inhouse mural.
WHAS-11. Served as a courtroom sketch artist for this Louisville news station during a high-profile trial in Bowling Green, KY.
Catalyst Technology. Developed two company logos.
Ford Motor Company & The Chrysler Corporation. Created drawings and portraits of executives for both companies.
Other Assignments: HardTimes. This Louisville entertainment magazine featured my original cartoon series, "The End," in monthly installments. See the Cartoon Page for samples.
The Brown-Forman Corporation. Commissioned oil painting.
Bellarmine University. Various illustrations for academic functions.
OTHER WORK EXPERIENCE:
04/97 - 06/07 The Langsford Learning Center, Louisville and Cincinnati.
While at Langsford I held three job titles:
*Director Of Cincinnati Operations (9/06 - 6/07); Oversaw all aspects of operation including: student admissions, assessment, clinical programming, marketing, and managing a staff of as many as 15 employees. Additionally I retained all the duties of a Program Coordinator (see below).
*Program Coordinator (9/00 - 9/06); Primary duties were to oversee our clients' progress in their individualized program(s) of instruction. These programs were designed to focus explicitly in a particular area of learning, such as reading and spelling, comprehension, math, and handwriting/visual-motor processing skills. Additionally I retained all the duties of a Clinician (see below).
*Clinician (4/97 - 9/00); My primary responsibility was teaching students one-to-one, following a plan developed by a program coordinator.
11/94 - 09/95 The Warner Bros. Studio Store, Louisville.
Gallery Supervisor; This retail chain contains galleries featuring animation art from WB cartoons. My duties involved educating the public on animation history and art, marketing, supervising gallery staff, and inventory control.
09/89 - 09/91 The Sherry French Gallery, New York City.
Gallery Assistant; Responsibilities included customer service, copy editing and writing, curating shows, research, photography, and inventory.
SKILLS: * Excellent artistic abilities; knowledge of diverse media and techniques.
* Strong conceptual skills and writing abilities.
* Proficiency in several design programs, including PhotoShop, Illustrator, QuarkXpress, PageMaker
* Experience in HTML and webpage design.

HONORS: College: Received art scholarship to Bellarmine; won top awards in annual competitions for art, as well as journalism and creative writing; received The Humanities Award For Outstanding Student upon graduation.
Other: Won "Best Of Show" in Woman's Club Of Louisille's 1999 Art Exhibition; Won "Runner Up" in WCL's 1998 Art Exhibition.
